Day 1 – Zurich - Innsbruck

Take a train from Freiburg /Basle to Zurich, the largest of Swiss cities situated on the Northern shore of the lake that bears the same name. Zurich retains much of its 19th century charm even today. Take the time to hop on to a Trolley tour and stroll along the world famous Bahnhofstrasse. Then take a train from Zurich to Innsbruck. Overnight in Innsbruck.

Day 2 : Innsbruck

Explore Innsbruck with your 24 hour Innsbruck Card. The card includes admission to Swaroski Cristal World situated in Wattens. The water spouting Giant (a remarkable huge face sculptured on top of a rock) will amaze you with its sparkling eyes. The card also includes free admission to many museums and sights and free use of public transportation. Overnight in Innsbruck.

Day 3 : Innsbruck – Salzburg

Today take a train to Salzburg (aprrox. 3.20 hrs). Salzburg was the setting for the unforgettable movie, ‘The Sound of Music’. Today your city tour will help you to relive the true story of the Von Trapp family. This tour takes you through the historical city and to the beautiful lakes and mountain areas known as the Salzkammergut, a famous musical and cultural centre. The highlights and film locations of the “Sound of Music”, such as the beautiful gardens in Hellbrunn (where Liesl and Rolf sang “I am 16 going on 17”), and the wedding church in Mondsee are a treat for all fans of the film. Overnight in Salzburg.

Day 4 : Salzburg – Munich

Take a train from Salzburg – Munich. Arrive Munich and transfer to your hotel. Sprawling Munich (München), home to some 1.5 million people, is the capital of Bavaria and one of Germanys major cultural centers. Take the time to explore the city on the hop-on hop off city tour. Visit the numerous fabulous parks or relax in one of the numerous beer gardens which dot the city. Overnight in Munich.

Day 5 : Munich – Nuremberg

Take a train from Munich to Nuremberg where the citys history reaches back to the year 1050. Nurembergs famous landmark, the Kaiserburg (Imperial Castle), towers above the Old town, which is protected by the 5 kilometers long city wall with its many towers. You are free to explore the beauty of Nurembergs mediaeval Old Town. One can start at the Koenigstor ("Kingsgate"), from where the timber framed buildings, the Gothic Church of St.Lawrence and the Church of St.Sebaldus can be easily reached by foot. Overnight in Nuremberg.

Day 6 : Nuremberg – Rothenburg

In the morning take a train to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of Germanys most beautiful medieval cities. Take a guided tour through this charming little town which is truly a journey back in time. Rothenburg ob der Tauber was once a powerful free imperial town and its monuments, landmarks and buildings still bear witness to these days. In the evening return to Nuremberg. Overnight in Nuremberg.

Day 7 : Nuremberg – Frankfurt

Take a train from Nuremberg to Frankfurt to depart to the airport or continue your stay in Germany on your own.
